Racism in America: Public Inquiry

Is there a difference between: 1) racial and/or cultural ignorance and 2) racism?

In my opinion?

Yes, absolutely, but it seems to me from my White Woman point of view that people of color are sick to death of the microaggressive behavior of white and patriarchal power. Maintaining patience to constantly explain one's existence only to be bullied once more becomes harder and harder.

Meanwhile, white people are so fucking busy being snowflakes about how hard these discussions are and how “awful” they “make” them feel until they are too cowardly to risk anything at all in any kind of conversation about racism at all. Or its bleak reality in our society.

Regardless of the intentions of even the best white people in this country and others, when fear and snowflake mentality block diplomatic conversation and growth, all there is left IS racism.

And to ignore it is the greatest evil of our time. Maybe all OF time.
